A love story 10 years in the making made Kathryn + Sean's wedding all the more special. Their wedding was held at the Charleston Gaillard, a performing arts center in the heart of downtown Charleston that's architecture is absolutely stunning.
The wedding day began at the Dewberry Hotel where Kathryn and her fun group of bridesmaids began to get ready and finish up a few DIY projects. Kathryn was one of my most creative brides, designing the koozie graphics and taking Fetes de Fleurs class with her bridesmaids arranging their own bouquets. She even did her own hair + make-up and her sister put together the boutonnieres from leftover materials from her wedding dress. Speaking of Kathryn's wedding dress, her gown was designed by Sugarcane Studios and created from parts of her mother and sister's dresses. Talk about sentiment! I LOVED all of the personal details woven into their day which showed Kathryn + Sean's style and creativity perfectly.
One of my favorite moments of the day was watching Sean's face as Kathryn walked through the doors for their ceremony. It was the first time Sean had seen Kathryn in her wedding dress and he couldn't stop smiling. They had waited a long time for that moment and it was incredibly sweet to watch. They danced the rest of the night away with a little help from the Emerald Empire Band and exited through a tunnel of sparklers held by their closest friends and families. Congratulations to Mr. + Mrs. Brown and thank you so much for including me in your incredible celebration!
